Your own pattern
Make your own breathing pattern
A custom program in Steady is a breathing pattern with the counts that you choose.
Open Settings and tap Custom Program. Set the seconds for each of the four steps. Then tap "Go to Program" to start it.

The four steps
Inhale, Inhale Hold, Exhale and Exhale Hold. Set a hold to 0 seconds when your pattern has no hold.
Examples
Coherent breathing: Inhale 5, Exhale 5, no holds.
Belly breathing at a slow pace: Inhale 4, Exhale 6, no holds.
For practiced users
The app's own help text suggests a custom pattern for people who already practice breathwork. If you are new, start with a built-in program.
